Hello. I am Nehal, a passionate code enthusiast and a full-stack developer. I am currently pursuing my final year of B.Tech in the CSE department at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai.

I have a strong foundation in Python and have worked on projects related to IoT, AI, and Cloud. I have also served as the club lead of a tech club called Cognizance, mentoring over 30+ students under the open-source domain. I have also been recognized with awards including the "Best Paper Award" at IIIT Kottayam 2025 and top positions in multiple hackathons.

Beyond tech, I love to sketch and paint. Creating art is my little escape from the digital world. It calms my mind, fuels my creativity, and helps me stay connected to myself. My artistic talent never failed me to bag prizes.

AEyeD - Artificial Eye Decipher

AEyeD is an affordable, AI-powered real-time monitoring system designed to assist visually impaired individuals. Combining Computer Vision and IoT, it enables safe navigation through face and gesture recognition, vehicle and stair detection, and text-to-speech feedback. Built using CNNs, Haar Cascade, OpenCV, Keras, and pytesseract, AEyeD runs on a Raspberry Pi with voice-command face labeling and OCR-based audio output. Tested on patients with Retinitis Pigmentosa, it achieved an F1 score of 0.88, significantly improving situational awareness and autonomy.

My First RC Car

I built my first RC car by repurposing the broken frame of a 12-year-old toy car, keeping only the chassis, wheels, and gears. I reattached and modified the gear system, then integrated an Arduino UNO with an L298N motor driver to control the DC motors. The car can move forward, backward, and make left and right turns simultaneously. This project gave me hands-on experience in electronics, embedded programming, and mechanical integration while reigniting my passion for building.

Many students struggle to learn from their mistakes due to a lack of proper guidance, often choosing suboptimal methods to improveβ€”resulting in missed opportunities to boost their marks.

To address this, teaching staff provide learning strategies mapped to different performance ranges, along with course and student data. A synthetic dataset is generated to represent varied mark distributions, and the model is trained on it. Once trained, it recommends appropriate strategies based on real student performance, guiding them toward better outcomes.
